Privacy policy
No accounts, no passwords, no credential collection. Here is exactly what is collected, by whom, and how to opt out.
Who we are
MailFixly ("we", "us") publishes independent email troubleshooting guides at mailfixly.com. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to this website only, not to any third-party site we link to.

What we collect
Information you give us
The only way to give us information directly is to send us an email. In that case we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in the message, and we keep it only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to keep a record of corrections.
We never request credentials. There is no sign-in, no account, no password field, and no form that asks for one anywhere on this site. Please do not send us passwords, recovery codes or verification codes.
Information collected automatically
Like almost all websites, our hosting and analytics receive technical information when a page is requested, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the page you requested, the page that referred you, and the date and time. This is used to keep the site working, understand which guides are useful, and detect abuse.
Interactive tools
Some guides include tools that run entirely inside your browser, such as a checker that compares a sign-in URL against a provider's genuine sign-in hosts. Anything you type into these tools stays on your device. It is not sent to us, not stored, and not transmitted anywhere.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file placed on your device by a website. This site itself sets no cookies for tracking or profiling. Cookies present when you visit are set by the third-party services described below, principally for advertising and measurement.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will not stop the guides from working. Nothing on this site requires a cookie to function.
Advertising, Google, and the DoubleClick DART cookie
This site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to serve ads.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site and may use their own cookies, web beacons or similar technologies. We do not control those technologies and this policy does not cover their practices.
You can opt out of personalised advertising. Your options:
- Google's Ads Settings: turn off ad personalisation across Google services.
- optout.aboutads.info: industry-wide opt-out (Digital Advertising Alliance).
- Your Online Choices: the equivalent for users in Europe.
- Your browser's own cookie and tracking-protection settings.
Opting out of personalised ads does not remove advertising; it means the ads you see are less likely to be based on your browsing history.

Analytics
We use analytics to understand which guides people reach, which ones they leave immediately, and which searches bring them here. This is aggregate and statistical: it tells us that a guide is or is not working, not who you are. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors and we do not combine analytics data with any other information to do so.
Hosting and delivery
This site is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare, which processes requests in order to serve pages, cache content, and protect the site from attack and abuse. That processing necessarily involves your IP address and request metadata.
Third-party links
Our guides link to providers' official documentation and recovery pages, which is the point of the sources block on each guide. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else's site, governed by their privacy policy, not this one. We have no control over and take no responsibility for their practices.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area (UK GDPR / GDPR)
You have the right to request access to personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Where processing depends on consent (which for this site principally means advertising and measurement cookies), you may withdraw that consent at any time using the controls above, without affecting processing already carried out.
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected and for what purpose, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined in California law. The use of third-party advertising cookies described above may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out using the mechanisms in the advertising section. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Making a request
Email [email protected] and describe what you want. We will respond within the period required by the applicable law, and within 30 days in any case. We may need to ask for information to verify the request relates to you.
Children
This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
We keep the data we hold to a minimum, which is the most effective protection available: we hold no accounts, no passwords, and no payment information, so there is no credential store to breach. Email correspondence is retained only as long as needed for the enquiry and any resulting correction record. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described rather than silently applied. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
